Date: 2008 All artists need to paint an elephant at one time or another, it's like a rite of passage! I wanted to do away with any kind of distracting background, so I opted for a close up. I also decided that gray wasn't interesting enough to be the only colour in an entire painting, so I went with green. No doubt elephants would want to be green if they had a choice!
