The first large animation assignment we had to do involved taking various images done by our teacher (some cars, trees, etc.) and animate them so that the cars go through some stop lights. The project was meant to be fairly simple, but one student asked how he could get an A on the project since the teacher had said he rarely, if ever, gave As. The teacher responded with "I don't think you (the class as a whole) have it in you to get an A". I took that as a personal challenge obviously. To make a long story short, the teacher loved it and gave me the 2nd A+ he's ever given in his life.
