A few billion years from now, our Sun will leave the main sequence and begin to evolve into a red giant. Long before it completes this transition, and eventually completely engulfs our planet, all life on Earth will be extingished as the oceans evaporate, and the atmosphere escapes into space.
Will humanity survive? If so we'll need to evolve and adapt into beings completely different from what we are now.

I've always been fascinated by astronomy, space, the universe, etc., and one book in particular; 'Cosmos' by Carl Sagan, has always been a favourite. I'm not sure about the paperback, but the hard cover version was filled with paintings of various artist's (notably Adolf Schaller and Don Davis) impressions, of other worlds and galaxies that always mesmerized me.

This is my first attempt at this genre, and the third of my large paintings that will be displayed at my upcoming art show at the Pink Cow. Contact me if you're interested in coming to the reception on November 8th. Hope to see you there!
