Another cat that I did during the 'cat phase' of my early days as an artist. I spent a lot of time on it, but it looks a bit too overworked.

(2011 update: It's amusing and kind of embarrasing for me to look back on my early works, however it is beneficial to revisit them from time to time as a reminder of what not to do.

The most glaring problem in this painting is that there are no highlights or shadows which gives it a very flat look. This is something which took me years to figure out.)
