It's Time to Find Out Who You Really Are The second of three large centerpieces for my upcoming art show in November at the Pink Cow (although I'm not sure I'll manage to finish the third...), I began working on this almost three months ago, and the devil, as they say, is in the details. This is the first time I've painted snow or ice, and I had a hell of a time trying to make it look realistic. After many trials with various styles and colours, I finally settled on this version. This is the third in the torii series, you must know by now how I love torii. Huge thank you goes out to Chris over at http://i-cjw.com, an amazing writer and photographer, his website is one of the best I've come across in Japan. After seeing his photograph of the torii on the top of Mt. Kiso-Koma, one of my all time favourite photos, I asked him if I could paint it, and he graciously allowed me to do so.
