Why Pink Floyd? CD Release Website Design
2011
Photoshop
The first major Photoshop project in third term was to design a mock website for a band. There was a catch though, the band had to have released a CD after September 2011. Luckily for me Pink Floyd released remastered editions of their CDs. I've always been a huge fan. Pink Floyd was one of the first bands I really liked back when I was a kid and starting to discover music.
Anyway if you know Pink Floyd at all, you'll know that they've never had a consistent logo, nor have they ever had a consistent 'look' to any of their album covers beyond the fact that they're always fairly surreal. This gave me tons of leeway when it came to creativity.
The main image is actually a photograph I took when living in Japan. The only object that is actually in the original photo is the table. Have a look here and scroll down a bit to see the original.
As this is only a mock up design, the site is of course not live, but if it was it would be designed as a flash site and the objects on the screen would have functionality and change when you mouse click on them. The old radio would pop out as a media player if you clicked it, etc.
