This is based on a photograph taken by Jason Collin, which along with his blue Mt. Fuji photo are two of my all time favourites.
Reasons to paint it? I have a soft spot in my heart (and brush) for colourful fish, I wanted to improve on my previous carp (koi) paintings and I love the colour orange. Voila!
