To create a brand identity for Algonquin College's Pembroke campus lounge/bar.
I chose the name The Resource because it has two positive meanings. It represents both natural resources ie. lumber and minerals, or something offering support or aid, ie. a library. Seeing how the Pembroke area is rich in natural resources, and the lounge/bar is located in a college, I thought the name worked well. The dark green colour I used (pantone 574 C ) represents the outdoor nature of both the Pembroke area as well as some of the programs on campus such as the Forestry, Environmental and Outdoor Adventure programs. I used Avenir 35 Light as my font because it has a clean, precise look which contrasts well with the bolder, heavier imagery inside the O.
