As before when I do a series of paintings with a common theme, I'm finding that my technique tends to improve as I get deeper into the series. I'm getting tons of practice doing birds (obviously), but also clouds and similar looking things like smoke, dust and ash. This is fine of course but I find myself looking back at the first few and wondering if I shouldn't do a bit more work on them, improve them a bit. Maybe just leave them alone? hmmm....
