First came the tomato bread and a small tomato salad, then my main order, tomato pasta, while Kumi had the tomato risotto. Dessert was a small bowl of tomato jelly and a piece of tomato cake. The only thing that didn't have tomato in it (thankfully) was the coffee. Such was lunch at Daikanyama's 'Celeb de Tomato', a cafe celebrating everything edible about tomatoes.
The shop window boasts rows upon rows of perfect tomates nestled safely in straw, waiting to be eaten.

Red isn't the only colour of tomato on sale here either. Besides the less common, but still fairly well known orange and yellow varieties, there were also green and purple tomatoes. Size wasn't an issue either, you could take home huge, hulking tomatoes, or tiny little tomatoes smaller than cranberries. Tomatoes here don't come cheap though, so unless you're a hardcore tomato fanatic I'd recommend just sticking with lunch.
